Hello everyone! We are sorry that we have been so silent lately. Our life has been crazy, but believe me it is the good kind of crazy. God has been doing some big things in our journey.

For all of those who have not heard yet, we have some big news. Cait and I are expecting a baby! This has proved to cause quite a whirlwind in our lives, as it should. Even though we have not had the chance to meet the future Pitts face to face he or she is already impacting our lives. Our office is slowly transforming into a baby room. The majority of conversations we have together seem to steer to the subject of our growing family. Truly we have not wanted to meet someone so badly in our entire lives!

One of the more obvious ways the pregnancy has affected us is in our departure date to Kenya. Originally we were planning to travel to our new home the first week of January. However, baby Pitts is supposed to make it’s grand entrance to the world December 31st! Needless to say we are pushing our date back a bit but are planning to be back with the Turkana people in the late spring of 2016.

We have been in a bit of a daze with our exciting news as is expected, but we are continuing in our efforts of support raising. Presently we are 30% supported and are making a personal goal of being at 50% supported by September 15th. Cait and I see this as a totally obtainable goal, as we have been blessed with reconnecting with many of our partners, and have even made new relationships and partnerships. We have a good feeling that we will be pushed over our goal by some partners who are currently making their decision.
